Each September, SW 25th Street transforms into a lively cultural corridor beginning with the grand Parade of the Americas—featuring nearly 100 entries from schools, community groups, and local leaders—followed by a day full of food vendors, artisan markets, a children’s zone, live music, folkloric dance, and our “Travel the Americas” cultural showcase. Since its inception in 2006, this family‑friendly festival has grown into the metro’s largest Latino celebration, drawing over 18,000 attendees in 2021, providing scholarship opportunities, and supporting the nonprofit mission of empowering economic, educational, and cultural development in the Historic Capitol Hill district
