Nayelly Morales Rojo

A Mexican-American artist based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her work explores themes of female embodiment, cultural resilience, and personal identity. Inspired by her family's roots in Hidalgo, México, she creates vibrant compositions that often begin with orange under paintings or accents later infused with personal iconographies—such as the maguey pulquero and colibrí—to honor the stories of her loved ones and evoke the remembrance of home.

She has exhibited throughout most of Oklahoma and has gained recognition beyond the state, notably in 24 Works on Paper, a traveling juried group show in Oklahoma (2022-2024), and "Perspectivas desde el otro lado” at el Consulado de México en Oklahoma City (2024-2025). Mya Uribe

  • Instagram

Mya Uribe is a self-taught artist and photographer from Oklahoma City and a first-generation Mexican American. Her work is guided by emotion and the rhythm of everyday life, often focusing on quiet details that might otherwise go unnoticed—such as the way people move through space, shifts in light, or the fleeting sensation of something passing.

Through her lens and brush, Uribe explores how seemingly ordinary moments carry hidden layers of meaning for those willing to pause and reflect. Creating is both a form of expression and a way of giving shape to the visions in her mind, conveying what words often cannot. Rooted in her heritage, her practice is also an act of honoring where she comes from while inviting others to imagine new possibilities.

Ruby Rubio is a Mexican American artist from Oklahoma City currently studying at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Having the ability to practice various mediums has helped create a sense of style within my pieces. From sculpture to painting, having practiced those skills has shaped my artistic illustrations in color and texture.

I love creating and enhancing my skills as an artist. I believe an important part in creating art is to have fun even if the piece itself becomes frustrating to work with. Overcoming the challenges on how to make your idea come to fruition is the best feeling of accomplishment.

Daniel Acuna

Local Oklahoma City Chicano artist Daniel Acuna expresses himself in his paintings through broken brushstrokes with bright, exaggerated colors that capture a different side of his subjects. He relies on lighting and relaxed poses on his subjects, giving a calming sense from the wild colors that he expresses.

“I generally paint portraits of people in my life, like friends, family, or strangers. The majority of my subjects reflect something inside of me that I relate to or wonder. I try to capture their beauty. During my progress in painting, the hypnotic joy of letting go of detail can be so liberating.”

OUR MISSION

OUR VISION
