Instructions to Complete Online 2023 Application

 

 

 

Commitment

 

1. Pre-Pageant commitment is 8 weeks of 2x a week sessions, July 1-Aug 26

   1. One Saturday session weekly

   2. One weeknight session weekly

2. Candidates must attend every pageant workshop and rehearsal in order to participate. All rehearsals are closed to the public, including family.

3. All Candidates will participate in Fiestas De Las Américas Parade/Festival activities and preparation.

4. Financial Commitment   Candidates are not charged a fee to participate.

            However, program ad sales is required from each candidate.

 

 

Qualifications

 

1. Teen Candidates must be enrolled in high school grades 10-12 in the fall of 2023.

2. Miss Candidates must be enrolled in a post high school educational institution for the fall of 2023.

3. Miss Fiestas De Las Americas is a closed pageant. Candidate may not participate if she currently holds a title with another organization.

4. Immediate family members of any Fiestas De Las Americas Leadership Development Pageant Committee Members may not participate.

5. All candidates must represent a Latin American country in their cultural platform.  Candidates do not need to be of Latino heritage.

Miss Fiestas de Las Américas

• Queen: Crown, Sash, $1,500 Scholarship

• 1st Runner-Up: $1,000 Scholarship

• 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-up $500

Teen Fiestas de Las Américas

• Teen: Crown, Sash, $1500 Scholarship (awarded at college enrollment)

• 1st Runner-Up: $1000 Scholarship (awarded at college enrollment)

• 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-up $500

The Miss Fiestas de Las Americas Leadership Development Pageant Application is available online exclusively. If assistance is needed, please contact us for help.

Section 1: Application Terms and Eligibility Disclosure

Section 2: Complete the demographic information.

Section 3: Essay questions: Must be between 200 – 500 words.  

It is recommended you write your responses in a word document prior to starting the application and then copy and paste.

 

1. What do you plan to study after high school? Why did you select that course of study?

 

2. Oklahoma is becoming more and more culturally diverse. How do you see the cultural diversity in your community/school? And how can Fiestas De Las Americas show the beauty of the Latino cultures in your community/school?

Candidates will be contacted by Pageant Leadership no later than June 15, 2023.
