Let's Fiestas OKC
Nominated for best festival in Oklahoma City, Fiestas de las Americas is the largest Latino festival in the Oklahoma City metro. This day-long celebration kicks off with the lively Parade of the Americas which then opens up SW 25th st for a fun day of shopping, eating, entertainment, and community.
WHO WE ARE
The Fiestas De Las Américas (FDLA) mission is to bring the various Hispanic communities from across the Greater Oklahoma City area together to preserve, promote and celebrate the rich multiculturalism that is woven into the economic, educational, and social tapestry of our city. The festival is also a vehicle to support the Calle Dos Cinco non-profit organization focusing on economic, educational, and cultural development within the Historic Capitol Hill District.
WHERE WE ARE NOW
Since its inception in 2006, the FDLA Festival and Parade has been an annual event, scheduled in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month. Each year attendance and reach continue to grow along with additional experiences. In 2021, we broke our record with over 18,000 guests in attendance and were subsequently nominated for best festival in OKC!
This year the festival includes the Parade, Vendor’s Corridor, Artisan Market, Artist Alley, Children’s Area, Travel the Americas Experience, the Miss Fiestas De Las Americas Leadership Development Scholarship Pageant, live entertainment, and much more!
Community members from all sectors of the city enjoy this daylong festival, which is filled with the colors, sights, and sounds that describe many Latin American cultures.
THE
TEAM
Fiestas de Las Americas would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers and committee members that work hard to bring this event to life. This event is a direct result of the passion and commitment that these individuals have for sharing the Latino culture found within our city and state.
